Urban middle class, a growing majority with new life issues. What is an enriching life for this new middle class? Can it be about getting more or appreciating more? Shouldn’t it be a core index of a new developing nation? Shouldn’t we assess and improve the index like other major society indexes?
The Aditya Birla Centre for Enriching Lives (ABCEL) is a pioneering movement focused on enhancing the quality of life across society. ABCEL’s Vision is to “Enrich Lives, Enrich Society.”
This is founded on multidisciplinary social insights. It will study and find solutions to contemporary and emerging life issues. The primary objective is solutioning through research, experiment with design through living labs, take initiative on policy advocacy, and influence social conversations at the grassroots level.

Enriching Life' may be defined differently by every individual based on their priorities, circumstance and social ecosystem. Thus, for phase I our efforts, we are focusing on select Focus groups to find a cohesive answer.
